Jeff Moody, his brother Kevin Moody and their cousin Rich Dodson had been avidly hunting together for over 30 years in East Tennessee when they got the idea for The Gun and Bow Camera MountTM. They always took photographs of the game they harvested and had filled many photo albums. But they realized they had missed recording many of the memories of their hunting experiences. Since their dads had passed away, they wished they could have captured more of their hunts on video. They began to try to think of ways to do just that. 
At first, one of the others would give up their day of hunting to film the others. Soon they decided to actually attach a camera to their gun. Their initial crude attempts using tape quickly made them realize the recoil of the gun was too much for the camera. They would lose part of the shot during the recoil of most high caliber rifles and shotguns. So a shock absorbing system had to be developed.
A couple of years and many prototypes later, Kevin harvested the first deer using The Gun and Bow Camera MountTM. It was then they realized that it was no longer an option to just hunt; they had to film their hunts. They never imagined how much fun it would be to bring the beauty and excitement of the hunt home, whether they were hunting close to home in East Tennessee or across the country. Now, they can share all the hunting memories with friends and family.
